Campers will have a blast learning the fundamentals of cheer, plus jazz and acrobatic dance technique. This exciting and fun filled camp will be taught by members of our skilled and experienced faculty, some of whom have recently trained & performed with the Stampede Outriders. Skills will progress at a pace that consider safety first and foremost, with dancers learning a routine to showcase at the end of the week.

This camp will focus on Acrobatic & Jazz dance, as well as Cheerleading. Safety is of the utmost concern; participants are reminded to follow all class routines and expectations.

PERFORMANCE DIVISION SUMMER INTENSIVES & SOLO/DUET/TRIO PLACEMENTS

All students who wish to be a part of our PD team and participate in a solo/duet/trio for the upcoming year must attend our Summer Intensive. This opportunity to train with our faculty and guest faculty allows students to get a head start on their full year training, increase stamina, strength and endurance, as well as team building for the upcoming dance season. (dates listed below)
The PD Intensives allow us to see all new and returning dancers together, so we can evaluate technique levels. We will make our decisions based on what is best for your dancer, as well as what is best for the team as a whole. We want our dancers to be challenged, but not overwhelmed, which is why we will make selections this way.

ACROBATIC DANCE INTENSIVE (8+)

** For experienced acro dancers who are currently able to do:

- hand stand to back bridge
- back bridge kick over
- cartwheel both sides
- one handed cartwheel on one side
- handstand forward roll
- headstand/forearm/cheststand
- pre splits right, left and centre splits
- back bridge recover to standing

Dancers will spend the week honing their acrobatic skills and technique under the expertise of guest faculty member, Bri Zubick.

As parents and teachers, we know how important it is to keep children active, engaged, exploring, socializing, and trying new things - especially in a safe and encouraging environment. No dance experience is necessary, just a willingness to try! Every day dancers will learn technique from various dance styles, including ballet, jazz, hip hop, musical theatre & more! Not only that, they will keep busy playing movement and acting games and create works of magnificent art! Every day children will showcase their learning in a mini performance for the final ten minutes of the session
