Foundational Dance Programs for Ages 5-7 at Evolutions School of Dance

We have loved watching our daughter's confidence develop and grow with the support of her dance teachers at Evolutions. Her dance teachers inspire the love of dance through their enthusiasm and positive encouragement to try new things.

Registration for the 2023/2024 season opens on May 7 at 7:00pm for current families and May 14 at 7:00pm for new families.

Dancers in the Beginner & Junior Foundational Program (full year program) will continue to expand on their dance technique and vocabulary. Classes are offered in a variety of dance genres to appeal to many interests, and students are encouraged to register in multiple classes to enhance their technique, stamina and expand their love for dance. All students enrolled in the 10 month program have the opportunity to perform at the year end showcase in June.

We are pleased to offer a variety of programs:
- 10 month Foundational Program (September to June)
- 6-8 week sessions (September/October, November/December, January/February, March/April, May/June)
- 6 month Foundational Program (January to June. Registration opens November 1, 2022)*

All students enrolled in the 6 & 10 month Foundational Program have the opportunity to perform at the year end showcase in June.

* Students enrolled in the 6-8 sessional programs do not perform in our year end showcase

Beginner Foundational Jazz & Tap

FOUNDATIONAL PROGRAM

With a focus foundational jazz & tap technique, dancers will learn the historical roots of both genres, while exploring various styles, rhythm and musicality. Combo classes are really the best of both worlds!

2023/2024 Schedule of Classes: Beginner Foundational Jazz & Tap (ages 5+)

This class will introduce the history of Hip-Hop culture with movement vocabulary for the emerging dancer. The focus of this class has an emphasis on footwork, style, musicality, individual expression and an understanding of the history and evolution of the dance.

2023/2024 Schedule of Classes: Foundational Junior Hip Hop (Ages 6+)

With strength and flexibility as the foundation, Acrobatic Dance is a style of dance that combines classical dance with acrobatic elements. Safety is of the utmost importance to us at Evolutions School of Dance, so acrobatic elements are taught in conjunction with stretching, strength building and conditioning so dancers are safe and comfortable as they develop their skills.

2023/2024 Schedule of Classes: Foundational Musical Theatre (ages 5+)

Dancing, singing and acting! Musical theatre is a form of theatrical performance that combines songs, spoken dialogue, acting and dance. Children will have a blast performing their little hearts out! Expect: increased confidence, growth in stage presence, and a love for performing!
